Stepping into a new role in the middle of a global pandemic that has decimated the association and business events sector might not seem like the smartest of career moves on the surface. Yet to me, it’s the perfect time! Why? – Because International Associations across our region are in a desperate fight for survival.  When your whole business model is under threat, there is only one way forward “innovate and deliver.”

“These values are at the core of everything CIMGlobal stands for.  I am privileged to have the backing of our multi-cultural teams from six countries and collectively we will find new ways to support our Associations through this crisis and help them emerge stronger and better armed with exciting new ways to service their members.”

If, like us, your association is losing income from cancelled business or training events, I believe we can help each other through these difficult times.   We have taken the bold step of bringing forward our planned expansion into Australasia and last month opened a new office in the Adelaide technology Innovation hub.

All Governments in our region have never been more receptive to proposals that will keep people in jobs and stimulate economic growth.  The structure of professional industry associations and their collaborative approach makes them ideally placed to manage these programs on behalf of government.  All they need is a good proposal.  We have hit the ground running here in Australia and are already assisting a number of clients with accessing funding to continue to develop new innovative events and programs.

The COVID-19 outbreak has forced a massive shift in the way associations operate. Our meetings are cancelled, staff are working virtually and our future’s uncertain.

When the first border closures began, CIMGlobal offices in Europe, America, Singapore and India were inundated with calls from worried association clients. In less than a month the 2020 event calendar was history.

Yet while the world continues to almost stand still, I am sure your association has never been busier.  Members lean heavily on their association as their pillar of strength in times of crisis. This calls for even wider collaboration and outreach.

If, like us, your association is losing income from cancelled business or training events, I believe we can help each other through these difficult times.   We have taken the bold step of bringing forward our planned expansion into Australasia and this month opened a new office in the Adelaide technology Innovation hub.

One thing for sure and certain is that hybrid meetings are now here to stay. The technology is so simple and easy to use that it has most of us wondering why the events industry traditionally feared it so much.  Since the outbreak our technicians have been working tirelessly on upgrading the virtual capability of our X-PERTECH – Meeting Management System. We are proud of what we have achieved and want to share it with you by offering a free trial of our hybrid meeting technology.

  • Webinar up to 500 attendees

  • marketing of webinar
  • Branding of the webinar
  • Voting, QA & Poll
  • Webinar software that runs all platform (desktop/mobile browser)

Together, I believe we can salvage almost any meeting or event by taking it virtual. There has never been a better time to see whether we could be the right fit for your association and I would appreciate just a few moments of your time to talk this through with you
